Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Full-Time 40 hours per week
$19-21.50/hour

Job Summary
True North Goodwill is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our growing Community Engagement department. This role is responsible for supporting and implementing communications and marketing campaigns that promote Goodwill’s brand, mission services, fundraising, retail stores, and donation centers through various channels, with an emphasis on our social media platforms, other digital platforms, and traditional media. This role also involves collaborating with other Goodwill teams and departments to ensure cohesive project management and brand alignment across the organization.
Schedule
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekends and evenings for special events (store grand openings, fundraisers etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Director of Community Engagement to develop, manage, and implement the annual communications and marketing plan and budget through digital and traditional media, public relations, etc.
- Increase awareness of Goodwill’s mission throughout our territory in Northern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin through the use of storytelling, social media, and public relations
- Utilize digital and traditional marketing and communications to increase customer foot traffic and positively impact retail sales and public donations
- Support development & fundraising campaigns through the creation of campaign assets, e-mail marketing, social media etc.
- Help manage, monitor, and maintain Goodwill’s social media channels (social media calendar, paid advertising, KPI’s/metrics etc.)
- Help manage Goodwill’s website with up-to-date content, relevant information etc.
- Develop digital and print collateral including social media graphics, flyers, PowerPoint decks, one-pagers, brochures, store signage, and other items as needed
- Take photo and video content at internal and external events for communications collateral
- Format internal and external digital communications blasts
- Review collateral against organization brand guidelines
- Maintain tracking of shopper feedback across channels
- Maintain and regularly update audience communication lists; maintain accurate e-mail segmentation lists
- Create and maintain retail site listings across Google and social media platforms.
- Track and respond to customer and donor feedback across digital channels
- Maintain updated communications templates and retail signage in intranet, ensuring all files are accessible, accurate, and adhere to brand guidelines
- Coordinate with external vendors including graphic designers, printers, and other vendors as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing or communications related roles
- Demonstrated skill in creating polished collateral for print and digital use; experience in Adobe design suite and Canva preferred
- Strong creative, storytelling, and communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks against competing priorities
- Strong organizational and project management skills; meticulous eye for detail
- Experience working with Constant Contact or other email communications platform
- Excellent writing and editing skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong verbal and written communicator; ability to draft high quality written communications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Enthusiasm for the mission of Goodwill
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Two (2) years of education and or experience in graphic design required
- Two (2) years of education and or experience in community and media relations preferred.
