Essential Functions:

Knowledge of design, construction, and operation of electrical generators, including synchronous and asynchronous machines.

Ability to diagnose and solve issues related to electrical faults, performance degradation, or unexpected shutdowns in generator systems.

Being able to access complex electrical systems, identify weaknesses, and develop solutions.

Determines all electrical aspects of the unit and develop electrical engineering drawings in 2D & 3D showing all necessary information to build.

Ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders, from technicians to upper management. Clear communication skills for creating reports, technical manuals, and operating instructions.

Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detail phases of electrical engineering work in part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.

Consults with customers, project engineers, and internal colleagues on pending projects to assist in bringing them to closure.

Assists Manager in the review and upgrading of the electrical standards.

Deep knowledge of electrical safety regulations, including grounding techniques, arc flash protection, and proper PPE usage.

Practical experience with installations, commissioning, and maintenance of generators systems in various environments.

Follows all Corporate Occupational Safety and Health Policies and Procedures. Reports any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor.

Understands and complies with all Corporate, Human Resources, and Quality Policies and Procedures.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent Technical Degree with a minimum of (5) years of field experience.

Solid understanding of electrical systems, power generation principles, and the functioning of generators.

Knowledge of Electrical components and their applications and processing. Good electrical engine part design practices.

Special skills: AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and SCADA systems.

Familiar with tools and techniques for power systems modeling, load flow studies, short circuit analysis and grid integration.

Good Communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Ability to work within teams as well as independently.

Medium to High level noise, Mechanical Hazards, Moving Objects

Will stand, kneel, squat, twist bend and walk.
