Job Description

1 year contract

Hybrid, on-site 2-3 days per month

AZ candidates only, must be a US Citizen

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Writer to join our Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for a variety of audiences, including technical staff, non-technical stakeholders, and end-users. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems are well-understood and properly implemented.

Qualifications

· Knowledge of different cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

· Experience with graphic design and multimedia development. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the cybersecurity field.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Proficiency in authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, or Microsoft Word.

· Experience with content management systems.

· Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science or related field.

· Relevant certifications (CISSP, Security+) are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a wide range of cybersecurity documentation, including:

· Policies and procedures system documentation

· User manuals and guides

· Training materials Incident response plans Security awareness materials

· Collaborate with cybersecurity team members to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.

· Translate complex technical concepts into clear and easy-to-understand language.

· Adhere to style guides and templates to ensure consistency and quality.

· Use a variety of authoring and content management tools.

· Manage documentation review and approval processes.

· Stay up to date on cybersecurity best practices and industry trends.

· Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and FAQs.

· Assist with other cybersecurity-related tasks as needed.
