Job Purpose: Cover local news for NBC4/T44 and participate in the newsgathering and editorial process. Job Duties: Minimum 2 years experience operating camera, transmission, sound, lighting and editing equipment to cover live and taped events Minimum 2 years experience utilizing new and emerging technologies to develop content for NBC4 platforms Respond quickly to breaking news while taking direction and interacting with the assignment desk, reporters/anchors, production, control room, and appropriate NBC personnel Interact with the assignment desk, reporters/anchors, production, control room and acquisition personnel Work with others efficiently under daily deadline pressure Solve technical issues in the field Basic Qualifications: Minimum 2 years newsgathering experience Minimum 2 years of experience in combination of shooting live events, editing on nonlinear systems and operating ENG live/microwave truck Minimum 2 years Ability to operate bonded cell live units Minimum 2 years Ability to operate a live truck Additional Job Requirements: Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C.
