Salary Range: $75,000 to $95,000/yr Perform thorough site analyses, evaluating existing urban spaces, infrastructure, land-use, and zoning regulations to identify project opportunities and constraints. Generate and oversee the project’s digital 3D models using Rhino, SketchUp and Revit for design studies, visualization and documentation from massing to architectural details. Develop architectural and urban design proposals and convey design intent through sketches, diagrams, technical drawings and various renderings expressions. Produce documentation drawing sets including plans, elevations, sections and other technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit for project submissions and approvals. Design land-use allocations for various functions, including commercial, residential, retail, office, institutional, utilities, roads/streets, parking spaces, and open spaces. Conduct tabulations of the projects based on program, zoning, client requirements in Excel. Collaborate with professionals in legal, engineering, landscape architecture and other fields to ensure that projects are implementable, align with project goals and comply with applicable zoning regulations and building codes. Manage internal workflow and collaborate with design team members to ensure project alignment with clients’ needs and schedule.Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Architecture, Urban Design or a closely related field plus minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Architectural or Urban Designer in diverse small and large-scale architectural and urban design projects. Experience must include projects in various scales and types, including site plans of over 20 acres, residential, office, institutional building design, interior design, and adaptive reuse; Participating in a project’s conceptual site planning phase through architectural design phases; Demonstrating urban design skill sets, encompassing district planning, zoning analysis, parcelization, multimodal street design, building typology studies and open space organization; Demonstrated architectural design knowledge, including building exterior design, selection of facade materials, brick facade detailing, space planning and area tabulation for residential and mixed-use projects; Producing rapid and high-quality visualization of analyses and concepts, including hand-sketches, diagrams and various rendering styles using SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator; Utilizing 3D modeling and generating renderings spanning a wide range of scales, with the ability to effectively convey diverse content, including district aerial views, street views, exterior expression, interior spaces, open spaces, and detailed architectural elements.
