York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.

York Technical College invites applications for the

Vice President for Communications and External Relations , a transformative leadership role charged with driving the College's growth, reputation, and impact. This position reports to the President and leads the development of a comprehensive advancement program, securing major philanthropic support to fuel student success and institutional innovation.

As the College's chief ambassador, the Vice President cultivates powerful partnerships with business, industry, and community leaders to strengthen workforce development and create lasting opportunities for students. With oversight of marketing and communications strategies, this role elevates the College's public image, inspires engagement with stakeholders, and positions York Tech as a leader in higher education and economic development. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President provides vision and direction for the following:

Development and Fundraising : Cultivating and soliciting major donors, managing fundraising campaigns, and shepherding grants development to secure significant contributions that support institutional goals. Business and Industry Focused Partnerships and Curriculum : Fostering relationships that drive workforce development and student success through innovative programming and strategic collaboration. Marketing and Communications : Develop proactive strategies, manage crisis communications, and position the College as a leader in education and workforce development. Minimum and Additional Requirements

Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Seven or more years of progressively responsible leadership and management experience in development or advancement, preferably within higher education or a similarly complex organization. Demonstrated success in securing significant contributions from major donors, cultivating long-term donor relationships, and managing fundraising campaigns. Additional Comments
