With a strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, you will be responsible for bringing our one-of-a-kind Lagunitas brand personality and messages to life on digital media platforms inclusive of social media, Website & E-mail marketing platforms with visually impacting platform-native creative. From leveraging consumer UGC to amplifying new product launches to everyday storytelling you will drive the brands online presence and engage our community.
The Lagunitas brand team is seeking a Digital & Social Content Creator to own and increase online engagement across Lagunitas' US organic social channels. Reporting to the Lagunitas Brand Director, you will be responsible for working closely with our Brand Management team, Content Creator & Creative team to deploy the Big Brand Idea and campaigns across the Lagunitas digital platforms, bringing new energy to our legendary brand.
What You'll Do
The Lagunitas Digital & Social Media Content Creator will own digital content production for Lagunitas organic social channels and digital touchpoints in the US, from concept to delivery. Collaborating closely with the Content Creator to workshop ideas and quickly direct, shoot & edit assets to then be posted, whether it be same day turn around or longer lead times for monthly content calendars.
Works with Event & Sponsorships Brand Manager to generate increased engagement during "live" coverage events for those key brand strategic moments by creating content in real time and with a quick turnaround.
Remain on top of trends and act as the voice of culture by keeping brand team apprised of social insights and learnings, inclusive of new innovative channels and engagement tactics. Proactively presents incremental engagement opportunities informed with data & insights to constantly optimize creative so that the brand both excites online community and supports brand key business initiatives.

- Directly responsible for the creation and deployment of organic Digital creative assets:
Own the day-to-day creative for our digital channels in close partnership with our Content Creator to deliver quick-turn assets, as well as planned campaigns in line with the planned content calendar for Lagunitas Social handles not limited to Facebook/ Instagram/ Twitter/ Pinterest, Website updates & Email marketing campaigns, inclusive of supporting copy development. - End to end development of approved creative ideas:
Partnering with Brand Management Team & external agency to actualize approved creative assets and ideas of monthly content calendars for both the brand & Taproom pages in order to be posted live in a timely manner. - Acts as voice of brand through the development of impactful visual assets for organic social & Online platforms (Website):
Produces creative assets that speaks the language of the intended audience, while being rooted in the visual identity & tone of voice of our brand. Provides creative imagery for any website updates or email marketing initiative requirements. - Influences and plays a key role in the refinement and shaping of overall organic digital strategy:
Reviews overall annual brand plan (including but not limited to Summer Campaigns, IPA Day & Innovation Launches) and working with the Content Creator provides a recommendation on creative asset requirements, adaptations, and usage. Identifies additional content creation needs for US relevancy outside of core campaigns. Presents proposed content creation ideas alongside Assistant Brand Manager. - Is a Brand Steward for our organic social by ensuring our content and community engagement drives relevancy:
Turns topical ideas into content ideas for Lagunitas in order to be part of the cultural lexicon. Produce effective videos, gifs, reels, still imagery, graphics and other relevant social assets incorporating social-first best practices making the content highly sharable. - Manage all live social media content creation where relevant from brand owned or sponsored events:

- Proactively presents strategic opportunities that drive business goals and surprise and delight our consumers and community:

What We're Lookin' For
For this role we are looking for an energized, collaborative and passionate person. With an entrepreneurial mind-set you must be flexible, get energy from driving change and ready to roll up your sleeves. The ideal candidate has:
- 3 years minimum in social media or proven success in establishing strong digital media presence through content creation
- A multidisciplinary skill set - copy writing, videography, editing, motion graphics, project management and ideation.
- A solid understanding of major digital channels, platform developments and how to create content for these channels particularly Instagram/ Website & email marketing.
- Understands how to be scrappy and build relationships to get things done.
- Strong project management skills to manage time across delivering both daily reactive content alongside planned monthly content
- Flexible working hours and potential 20% travel. Open to occasional weekend & evening work to deliver timely response and/or maximize on any social media buzz. May be required to attend live events for coverage (Examples may include but not limited to Bottle Rock Festival, Lagunitas Amphitheater Shows)
- Share a mutual connection with our brand DNA & a passion for Craft Beer
- Love of dogs optional, tolerance of dogs required.
Key Relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, marketing, digital advertising/ media preferred
- Portfolio examples of shortform social media & digital platform assets previously created
- Copy writing examples/ experience
Physical Requirements
- Typical office environment (by Lagunitas standards)
- Hybrid work policy: Required to be in the Petaluma office at least 3x per week in order to foster collaboration and serve as a culture carrier for the organization; Tuesdays and Thursdays are mandatory in-office days with one flex day
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Travel approximately 20% per year
