The Cross Sector/Cross Business Group (BGX) Marketing Lead's primary goal is to support HDR in winning work. This includes supporting locally strategic pursuit opportunities, development initiatives, and other business development priorities that result in increased market share and elevates HDR's stature in the industry. This includes the cross-business group initiative that aims to build a strategy in focused areas by leveraging the combined capabilities of HDR. As a multi-disciplined, global company that excels at collaboration, we are in a unique position to see and develop market opportunities that others cannot. Leveraging this type of cross-business thinking into our everyday business development team efforts helps serve our clients throughout the project life cycle. Through flexibility and commitment, we can keep these complex opportunities moving forward and successful while creating scalable processes when needed. Job Responsibilities Lead research, drive strategy, prioritize efforts, organize potential opportunities for cross sectors and BGX initiatives Work closely with teams to identify, pre-position, and prioritize pursuits Advance business development and marketing efforts for cross sectors Connect the right people, across HDR, to drive program efforts forward Promote and leverage the combined capabilities of HDR Facilitate BGX program meetings Work closely with the Cross Sector Manager(s) on strategic planning and budgeting Retain, develop and supervise proposal and marketing employees, as assigned Train and mentor employees on business development and marketing best practices Verify the go/no-go decision process is applied in accordance with HDR's Matrix of Authority Lead pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies (capture planning) Facilitate pursuit teams to develop persuasive proposal and interview materials Develop and manage proposal schedules and confirm compliance Manage workload demands of proposal managers and marketing coordinators Lead quality reviews of proposal and interview materials Coach interview teams to be effective at delivering key messages during interview presentations Facilitate debriefs to identify improvement opportunities and to measure overall competitiveness Manage client relationship management and financial systems to inform reporting metrics and dashboards Support the development of annual and long-term strategic plans within established company direction and goals, including supporting key growth initiatives for the business group Develop and implement client plans, including long-term strategies to capture market share for the business group Develop business relationships with teaming partners Direct content marketing campaigns to strengthen our brand, increase our visibility, and showcase our thought leaders Develop and publish engaging digital content that reflects HDR's brand and elevates our thought leadership Implement strategies to elevate HDR's brand and technical talent with industry associations Actively participate in professional associations to elevate HDR's brand in target markets Articulate HDR's capabilities and competitive advantages Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience A minimum of 7 years of experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must The Cross Sector/Cross Business Group (BGX)
*LI-BC1 Required Qualifications A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign Demonstrated experience in winning high-value contracts in the A/E/C industry Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff What We Believe HDR is our company.
