POSITION SUMMARY: The UX Designer assist in delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction for millions of users by optimizing the usability of Bass Pro Shop’s digital ecosystem including basspro.com, cabelas.com, the company’s mobile, and native mobile application. Through a wide range of tasks including ideation, user research, testing, and user-centered design methodologies, designs key experiences and solutions for company projects and initiatives. A strong collaborator, the UX Designer provides and facilitates seamless UX/UI solutions and supports product teams including other designers, researchers, product managers, business analysts, developers, and QA testers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works both individually and in collaboration with cross-functional, design, and research team members to facilitate and complete UX/UI design work for basspro.com, cabelas.com, and other company products.
Develops user scenarios, task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed functions, interactions, and workflows.
Creates modern, seamless UX/UI design solutions for key user experiences on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
Writes and conducts usability tests and other rapid research methods to evaluate effectiveness of proposed design solutions, using customer feedback to improve and adjust solutions through learning.
Supports design solutions by creating and maintaining detailed design documentation, demonstrations, and artifacts, aiding in the cross-functional implementation of design initiatives.
Contributes to the utilization, evolution, and maintenance of foundational UX frameworks and touchpoints, including: user personas, key user journeys, and key performance indicators on relevant initiatives that help drive research, testing, and design parameters.
Provides input on user-centered design processes and implementation of processes.
Manages a dynamic workload to balance priorities with deadlines to effectively meet project needs.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum experience: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Degree: Educational background in Design, Human Factors, or HCI.
Experience: 1-3 years experience in UX/UI design-related roles, with e-commerce background preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: Experience designing user interfaces for desktop, mobile, and tablet devices
Familiarity and experience working with and designing with design systems, pattern libraries, and shared standards
Working understanding of modern web and product design practices
Experience producing wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and detailed high-fidelity designs in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, iRise, or OmniGraffle
Able to provide samples of work demonstrating experience applying user-centered design principles
Experience using web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Quantum Metric
Experience developing, evaluating, and producing results from test and learn processes
Experience presenting research and testing findings and solution recommendations
Function effectively as an integral part of a dynamic cross-functional team
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
