General Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, the Social Media Strategies Intern will assist publicizing Allied Services' programs and services on various social media platforms.

Type of supervision exercised: none. Jobs reporting to this position: none.

EDUCATION:

Currently enrolled in four-year bachelor's degree or associate degree program.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

No previous experience required.

SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge in Social Media Strategies, Public Relations, and Communications.

Passion for outreach to community through social media strategies.

Excellent Computer Skills and knowledge of social media outlets is required.

Good verbal and written communication skills and people skills required for effective interaction with staff, employees, and outside agencies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sedentary Work: duties require exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally (approx. 10-33% of shift) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (approx. 33-66% of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move articles such as files.

Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

The ability to transport self throughout the facility is required.

ACCIDENT OR HEALTH HAZARDS:

No unusual accident or health hazards inherent in position.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in a well-lit office environment.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
  • Learn and cultivate social media strategy skills in a healthcare setting.
  • Develop understanding of marketing strategies for Allied Services and develop Strategic Partnerships with Allied.
  • Create and post social media content on following platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube with guidance from the Vice President of Strategic Partnership and Marketing Department at Allied.
  • Learn how to develop a unique social media strategy with focus on public outreach and awareness.
  • To explore career ventures and experience in social media marketing.
  • Broaden your experience in social media advertising with a focus on healthcare marketing.
