This position will involve creating, curating, and managing engaging content across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for digital marketing and a strong understanding of social media trends. Responsibilities Develop and curate engaging and informative content, including text, images, and videos, that aligns with the Fowler School of Engineering's brand and messaging. Manage and maintain the School's social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting. Review and maintain analytics reports for all social media channels. Work closely with faculty, staff, and students to gather content ideas and ensure accurate information is shared. Assist in the production and editing of videos for educational, promotional, and event purposes. Assist in creating, editing, and distributing the college's email newsletters, website and blog content, etc. Assist in updating and maintaining the college's website pages. Work closely with the college's marketing and communications team to ensure consistent messaging across digital platforms. Support the team with various administrative duties as needed. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Currently enrolled as a student at Chapman University. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Deep understanding of the digital landscape, social media platforms, and digital tools. Ability to use tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar software for video editing. Excellent content creation skills (i.e. Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, etc.). Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to edit video Ability to work with little supervision. Reliable and communicates well with supervisor. Desired Qualifications Basic graphic design experience (Canva). Knowledge of higher education. Community and/or customer service experience.
