Job Summary/Basic Function
The Engage for Change and Made in Millersville Journals are seeking a student to join the editorial team and experience all aspects of running a digital journal in a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
Sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in publishing, editing, and marketing a digital journal Ability to maintain confidentiality Computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) Evidence of efficient project and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet goals and deadlines Ability to multi-task Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organized and detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications
Creative, open-minded, and flexible Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies to contribute to the journals Willingness to take risks and experiment Job Duties
Edit author's articles submitted to the journal Take on a specialty role (marketing for the journal, outreach, web design, project manager for authors) Contribute to journal's growth Work approximately 10-15 hours/wk. Have the opportunity to intern/work for two journals, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
* Be able to sit and use a computer for the length of shift
