Role Overview
The UX Prototyper will be a key player in accelerating Athena's UX lifecycle, bridging the gap between design and development. This role is focused on rapidly creating prototypes that convey design intent and functionality, enabling quick iterations and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of design and technical skills to transform complex UX concepts into interactive models that can be tested and validated.

Role Overview
The UX Prototyper will be a key player in accelerating Athena's UX lifecycle, bridging the gap between design and development. This role is focused on rapidly creating prototypes that convey design intent and functionality, enabling quick iterations and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of design and technical skills to transform complex UX concepts into interactive models that can be tested and validated.
Responsibilities
- Prototype Development: Build high-fidelity prototypes that accurately represent the final product experience, facilitating effective testing and feedback.
- Design-Development: Work closely with both UX designers and developers to ensure prototypes effectively communicate design specifications and user interactions.
- User Testing Support: Assist in user testing by developing prototypes that address specific use cases and user stories, gathering insights to refine the user experience.
- Iteration and Refinement: Rapidly iterate on prototypes based on user feedback and stakeholder input, improving fidelity and functionality as designs evolve.
- Innovation and Efficiency: Explore and implement new tools and methodologies to streamline the prototyping process and foster collaboration between UX and development teams.
- Tool Mastery: Stay current with the latest prototyping software and technologies, continuously improving the quality and speed of prototype creation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively engage with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, constraints, and opportunities for prototype development.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in UX prototyping or a related role, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of interactive prototypes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Axure, Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Principle, along with an understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web prototyping.
- Design Understanding: A strong grasp of UX design principles, interaction design, and user-centered design processes.
- Communication: Clear communication skills with an ability to articulate the purpose and functionality of prototypes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering practical solutions within tight timelines.
- Collaboration: A track record of effective collaboration with UX designers and developers to enhance the design-development workflow.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and able to pivot quickly between projects and priorities.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is an advantage, but not required with relevant experience.
