WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Designer to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, and cultural relevance to help build and support the future of the Global Nike Football Brand Design creative team! The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, who doesn’t settle for anything less than the best creative solutions, to champion and support Nike Football experiences. This person will be focused on elevating the Global Nike Football brand experience through outstanding brand appearance of product, communications, collateral materials, digital, social and retail (physical and digital).

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You'll focus on the consumer facing Brand experience of product, communication, digital, retail and collateral materials. You will also be responsible for medium size projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements. In this role you will be crafting all aspects of the look and feel of brand experiences for consumer touch points, in partnership with Brand Marketing and functional teams across Nike Brand Design. Under the direction of an Art Director, you will develop concepts with original designs and continue to evolve established design systems. You will create briefs and mood boards to develop the next generation of visual solutions for 2D and 3D execution for consumer experiences: branding, campaign, retail, digital, social, etc. You'll partner with Design management and Brand Marketing to ensure feasibility of designs, budget, functional (Brand, Retail, Digital, Social, Comms) and overall program needs. You will also need to build inspirational presentation materials in keynote, and present concepts to teams and leaders.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with the Art Director, the Designers and narrative team, your Global Football studio teammates, Global Marketing, @NikeFootball Social Team, the Production team, Geo/City studios, and Retail brand partners.

WHAT YOU BRING

5-7 years of relevant Design experience

Bachelor/Master degree in Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

A passion for the Athlete*, Sport* and Culture

Knowledge of Global Football culture; the sport, the athletes and it’s culture

Under the direction of an Art Director, ability to create original design solutions for 2D and 3D execution for consumer experiences: branding, design systems, retail brand direction, social media and digital

Ability to produce directives and electronic files for production purposes

Able to communicate, inspire, and present design concepts to team/leader/director, and Brand Marketing partners as needed

Ability to build and edit files using Adobe programs including Adobe creative suite, ability to collaborate in Figma

Experience building inspiration/concept presentations, and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction

Demonstrated ability to apply and perform design skills, including concepting, drawing/sketching typography, ideation, color theory, texture, special design in scale and visual presentation.

A positive mentality with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.

Highly developed curiosity and in-depth understanding of design culture, current and past.

Knowledge of and sensitivity to current trends in color, design, motion, 3D imagery, photography, social media trend, art, and photography
