Team Introduction The Music Ecosystem Team is TikTok's vertical team focusing on music, delving into both upstream and downstream aspects of music to amplify TikTok's influence in the music industry. It connects TikTok with music streaming platforms, assisting TikTok users in discovering popular music on TikTok and importing it into their own streaming platform. Additionally, it connects artists and labels, aiding them in better promoting their music content.

Responsibilities: - Responsible for the product of music discovery within TikTok, enabling users to better discover music and collect music assets through the recognition of music content in scenarios such as Feed and Search - Establish close partnerships with music streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, enabling users to better complete the experience loop from music discovery to music consumption - Enrich the music content supply within TikTok and become the preferred music promotion platform for artists by combining the demands of artists for TikTok music promotion and the strength of TikTok creator ecosystem - Attend regularly scheduled internal meetings to understand business goals, collate and disseminate meeting agendas, and manage action items - Create ad hoc presentations and reports for partners and internal meetings as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a MBA degree in music business, marketing, media and communications, or a related field - Interest in the music industry and sensitive to user growth and retention data - Keen perception of data fluctuations, and experience in driving problem-solving and project advancement through data - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and execution and project management skills - Strong sense of responsibility and initiative, ability to handle a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications: - Passion for the music industry and a basic understanding of music rights, industry stakeholders, and the current music landscape - Understanding of TikTok music ecosystem, including product features, trends, and high performing artists - Capable of collecting and interpreting data with the goal of drawing conclusions that will inform broader business strategies and decisions - Internship experience in content and entertainment products
