Category Communications & Public Relations Description SUMMARY Under the Director of Communication's supervision, this position will create and oversee email campaigns, manage department email inboxes, and manage the email marketing calendar. This role will also respond to and share online reviews, social media messages, and comments. This role will support the communications and public relations department, with other tasks assigned as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategically draft and deploy internal and external emails within email marketing programs, working with the Communications Manager and Director on content direction and style. Manage multiple marketing email lists and provide monthly analytics reports. Analyze open rate performance on emails and consistently evaluate which methods produce desired results. Create and maintain a communications email marketing calendar. Work with Opportunity Village departments on content creation for the weekly team member newsletter. Coordinate with other communications department team members on content collection and sharing. Save photos and other items to the organization and department server. Respond to social media comments and direct messages. Check department email addresses every day and manage emails accordingly; send meaningful news stories and Google hits to the Communications Director. Respond to Yelp and Google reviews or requests; send reviews to appropriate departments and elevate reviews for leadership team meetings when necessary. Work with fundraising to update sponsorship logos on the website during events season and maintain records of changes in campaign files. Perform occasional website updates as needed. Execute writing projects such as social media posts, scripting, or talking points as needed. Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law. Must be able to meet all requirements of OV vehicle policies and travel: Between worksite locations Within the community May be assigned other duties as needed SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Position Requirements SKILLS REQUIRED Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, team members, and supervisors (verbal and written). Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand other's reactions and behaviors. Working knowledge and experience with email marketing and analytics. Ability to use department resources responsibly. Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Ability to clearly write marketing content, including emails, taglines, and ad copy. Proven ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner. Self-motivated and takes the initiative. Positive attitude, detail- and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability. Ability to stay updated with industry trends and best practices. Must be able to travel between locations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required: Three (3) years of marketing, journalism, or communications experience, in-house or agency. Required: Bachelor's degree in communications, advertising, marketing or a related field Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
