Job DescriptionThe Project Manager Studio Production Technology is responsible for project management in support of NBCUniversal’s Film & Television production groups as part of the Studio Technology Solutions organization. The role will oversee technical program delivery and support for these business units, and serve as an engagement liaison to business stakeholders and technology teams across our divisions.
The project manager will focus on the planning and implementation of projects to improve and modernize the tools, technologies and services for the studio production groups.
In addition to supporting the NBCU production business units, the project manager will partner with technical operations and engineering teams to support enterprise initiatives for our upstream production technologies, workflows, and metadata as part of a rapidly evolving, connected company-wide media supply chain.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engage with business stakeholders across our Studio business for areas of responsibility to drive business requirements, analyze data and processes, and create work products that lead to the implementation of technical solutions
- Support and facilitate technology requests for supported business groups
- Plan the prioritization and execution of application projects and enhancements
- Prepare project documentation such as meeting minutes, business process documentation, workflow diagrams, etc.
- Support application improvement projects including user acceptance testing, user training and demonstrations
- Support day-to-day operational activities as needed across the landscape of applications utilized by our supported business groups
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in supporting Studio / TV / Film platforms and operations
- 5+ years of experience developing software solutions to address business needs, applying software disciplines, with a strong understanding of software development
- 5+ years of experience in project management and/or business analysis
- 5+ years of experience developing software solutions to address business needs, applying software disciplines, with a strong understanding of software development
- 5+ years of experience in application production support, change management processes and have a structured approach to troubleshooting issues and bug fixes
- Expertise in production and post-production technologies and workflows
- Project planning, portfolio management, and change management expertise, including track record of delivering on large-scale mission critical projects
- Strong coordination skills
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
- Superior customer service skills
- Proven ability to work in a high-stress and demanding environment of a 24/7 operation
- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to utilize technology to create innovative solutions
- Good understanding of system architecture, infrastructure, integration, software development processes, and security technologies (processes\concepts)

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
