The Marketing Intern is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the Marketing team throughout the season. This person will be a valuable resource assisting with various tasks and programs which could include Kids Club, Jr. Kings youth basketball, Student Ticket program, single-game ticket marketing, fan engagement, Team Store, Golden 1 Center concerts/shows, and collaboration with corporate partnerships.
Key Responsibilities Areas: Work with Marketing and Creative Services to schedule, prioritize and manage projects Use project management tools to track requests and report on project status Schedule event content as needed internally and to outside vendors for upcoming event rotations Manage and log emails for upcoming events to prepare for announcements, presales, on sales, and event day emails Serve as a Marketing contact with other departments to manage projects through the creative process Assist in ordering marketing materials by requesting project quotes with vendors (i.e. promotional items, signage, etc.) Assist in the management of the department budget and tracking of purchase orders Contribute creative thinking and support the Marketing department on projects Assist with events or promotions on nights and weekends as needed Qualifications:
College Majors preferred in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field. Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and adapt quickly to a fast-paced work environment. Demonstrated ability to think creatively about solutions to complex problems. Desire for continued learning and development. Exceptional writing and proofing skills. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments. Ability to communicate and engage with internal clients, vendors, or fans with a customer first attitude Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook a must. Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Passion for the sports and entertainment industry. To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office Able to work 25 hours per week
Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
