GCU Esports department is looking for a student worker to help create media for the department and help support this community.
Purpose within the Organization:
In this position you will work with a team to create content elements for GCU Esports on social media platforms and website. While also helping our competitive teams and community be up to date on everything GCU Esports.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
Film and edit projects within a timely manner. Design digital materials: social media digitals, interviews, recap videos etc. Attend and collaborate at weekly meetings for current projects, planning of future projects, etc. Prepare final digital files and deliver completed projects. Maintain an orderly archive of projects and strict schedule for completed tasks. Adhere to GCU Esports branding and style guides. Serve as a department ambassador and promote the department at events and activities. Assist with social media or experiential marketing efforts. Other responsibilities as they apply. Microsoft Office 365 - Word, Excel, List, Teams, Planner Adobe Premiere Adobe After Effects DSL Camera Video camera accessories - microphones, lights etc. Qualifications:
Must be willing to commit to 15 + hours a week including weekends and weeknights. Strong design skills with attention to details. Able to use Adobe Creative Cloud programs (After Effects, Premiere). Able to use a DSL Camera/Sony Camera and properly store videos. Have a knowledge of camera settings and file types. Strong computer and organization skills. Strong time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a team player. Able to take and receive directions from GCU Esports staff. Ability to handle fast paced environment and think under pressure. Provide a portfolio or reel upon request. Experience/Education: Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
