How can you make an impact?
The Lead Digital Production Designer will manage the planning, build, and maintenance for customized product in the K-12 Math, Science, Humanities, and Electives markets. Builds typically include utilizing an existing McGraw-Hill digital product as a base and customizing it to meet the unique needs of a particular state or school district standards. To be successful, the candidate will need to be an innovative thinker, able to manage multiple projects, meet project requirements, and release products on time and within budget.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of December 31, 2025.
What you will be doing:
- Have or develop a strong understanding for how to utilize the existing tools and functionality of our MH digital platform to develop new customized courses
- Research the functionality and capabilities of other K-12 National digital products currently utilizing the MH platform in order to mimic user experience and find efficiencies when building Custom derivatives
- Create the scope of work for the digital requirements of each build and communicate the plan to stakeholders, including marketing, sales and product management teams
- Train, develop and manage a team of two digital Solution Developers to build product within specified timelines and budgets
- Develop new digital courses and/or manage digital production vendors and internal Custom Solution Developers in authoring derivative content, including ownership of project schedules and staggered delivery dates
- Collaborate with the other K-12 portfolio teams (Math, Science, Social Studies) to stay abreast of upcoming fixes and/or enhancements to national products
- Answer Jira product maintenance tickets related to Custom digital products and coordinating with the Portfolio teams on required changes
- Exhibit strong leadership and collaboration skills in their approach to product decision-making within their own team and the cross functional teams
We are looking for someone with...
- 5+ years in digital production
- 5+ years of experience working with various Learning Management Systems and platform authoring
- Experience managing vendors and QC of others work
- Excellent communicator and ability to manage multiple projects
- Expertise with Office and Adobe Products
- Understand accessibility requirements and have experience in creating products to meet WCAG guidelines

The pay range for this position is between $70,000-$90,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
