About the Role:

Helping people win drives PitchBook's Marketing team to be a world class B2B engine, delivering exceptional results. They are critical to fueling the company's growth by utilizing a variety of Brand, Creative, Content, Go-To-Market, Channel, and Operations strategies at every stage of the customer lifecycle, and always act and work with authenticity. As a high performing and data-driven team, they use rigor and rationale to produce quality marketing with an agile approach to meet business needs and market dynamics.

The Marketing Project Manager serves as a backbone to PitchBook's Brand and Creative Team, helping ensure impactful creative ideas and executions are brought to life. If you are a problem-solver with at least two years' experience project managing creative projects and deliverables across all marketing channels, this role is for you.

The Brand and Creative team is made up of designers, writers, editors, multimedia producers, and project managers. Working closely with all team members and various stakeholders across the Marketing team, this role will ensure team projects, processes, resourcing, and reporting are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

A successful person in this role will balance effective communication, organization, advocacy, problem-solving, risk-management, and collaboration skills. They will also represent the creative and marketing teams' project management talents across the broader community at PitchBook.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all efforts are resourced appropriately
  • Nurture stakeholder relationships, maintaining a high level of transparency and accountability in communications
  • Manage deadlines to ensure on-time delivery of all project and campaign assets while maintaining the highest levels of quality and consistency
  • Define, document, and implement process workflows including scheduling kick-off meetings, creating work back schedules and timelines, sending meeting recap notes, and holding status meetings as required
  • Identify and support process optimizations to improve efficiency of project execution and delivery
  • Collaborate with various internal and external teams for campaign planning and production
  • Manage expectations of projects and deliverables to all stakeholders to minimize and mitigate risk
  • Use best-in-class project management tools to effectively track projects, deliverables, milestones, and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain extensive project documentation on processes, workflows, and communication standards
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience managing creative projects as part of a cross-functional team
  • Experience across a range of digital media disciplines and with event creative and execution
  • Familiar with B2B industry best practices, concepts, and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience of working effectively with creative teammates including strategy, copywriting, design, and multimedia
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple departments in a large organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on process improvement
  • Experience using creative project planning and management software, such as Asana, Wrike, or Trello
  • Knowledge of Agile marketing processes strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of private equity, venture capital, and M&A is helpful, but not required
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $80,000-$90,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
