Advancement Marketing Coordinator

The Advancement Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing in the Office of Marketing Communications. While a member of the Marketing Communications team, it is essential that this individual also has a very close working relationship with select advancement teams. The position's primary responsibilities are to assist in the creation of and execute measurably successful marketing and communication strategies that enhance fundraising efforts and reinforce the brand of Wheaton College.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollows, strengthens, and protects the Wheaton College brand while executing marketing and communications efforts for select Advancement DepartmentsPromotes, strengthens, and protects the brand for Wheaton's capital campaign through Annual Giving and Gift Planning projectsSupports and measures marketing and communication projects for Annual Giving and Gift Planning teamsWrites copy, edits, and coordinates design as needed for Annual Giving and Planned Gift Services to ensure brand guidelines and best practices are followedUpdates the Annual Giving and Planned Gift Services webpages which includes but is not limited to navigation, search engine optimization, photography, video, text, and formsCoordinates content with the Brand and Content Team to identify story leads and ensure relevant stories are developed to support fundraising prioritiesAttends relevant marketing communications and fundraising meetings and eventsSupports other fundraising efforts as neededQualifications

B.A. requiredOne to two years leading measurably successful marketing and communication initiativesGood information technology skills including cloud-based content management, customer relationship management, and project management systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in higher education or fundraising preferred

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 10 pounds.
