POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an Enterprise Communications Manager to provide strategic communication direction and support a federal client at the executive level. In this role, you will design and implement internal communication strategies, coordinate high-profile events, and manage executive schedules for conferences, seminars, and other critical engagements. The ideal candidate will possess the strategic vision to develop tailored communication materials for varied audiences and provide counsel at the CIO level.
Location: Washington, D.C.
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government Public Trust clearance. US citizenship is necessary to meet this requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Communications Strategy
- Design and implement comprehensive communication plans that align with the client's goals.
- Ensure cohesive messaging across teams and initiatives.
Executive Calendar Management
- Oversee and optimize executive schedules for conferences, seminars, and key events.
Event Coordination
- Plan, manage, and execute conferences, seminars, and client events.
- Ensure events align with organizational goals and enhance stakeholder engagement.
Audience-Specific Materials Development
- Provide guidance on tailoring communication materials to reach diverse audience segments effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships across client teams to address communication gaps.
Consultative Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing strategic communication recommendations.
Networking Strategies
- Develop and execute initiatives to strengthen networks aligned with FERC's mission and other strategic interests.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field (Master's degree strongly preferred).
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, preferably in a government or high-level organizational setting.
- Proven experience in managing internal communications, executive schedules, and events at a senior level.
- Familiarity with government clients and mission-driven environments.
Skills:
- Ability to assess, develop, and recommend communication strategies for executive audiences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Success in organizing large-scale events or conferences for executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting CIO or other C-suite executives directly.
- Knowledge of public sector or government contracting environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and participating in meetings.
