Position: Associate, Marketing & Promotions

Reports To: Director, Promotions & Entertainment

Job Responsibilities - Essential Functions

The Associate, Marketing & Promotions is responsible for assisting in the development of a high level of entertainment and promotions for IronPigs games and other events.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with on-field emcee duties, as assigned by supervisor
• Work with Director, Promotions & Entertainment on planning, coordination, set-up and implementation of all nightly in-game promotions, themes, and contests
• Prepare and set-up for every IronPigs home game and event by assuring materials are handily ready for promotions staff and front office, items are purchased for various in game contests, and proper sponsor fulfillment is met per the game script
• Participate in the various pre-game, in between inning, and postgame activities that include: ceremonial first pitches, finding contestants for in-game activities, t-shirt launches, mascot skits and races, etc.
• Collaborate on development of individual theme nights by booking costumed characters, offering on field enhancements, and tying each theme night into the various departments here (merchandise, food and beverage, tickets etc.)
• Booking Bands for pre- and post-game performances
• Facilitate National Anthem Performers
• Hire, train and manage Promo Crew staff
• Manage marketing and promotional storage areas, including organization and communication between each department using such areas, as well as maintaining inventory and space
• Executing game day set up and distribution of promotional giveaways
• Order and inventory all Game Staff Uniforms while maintaining a specified budget
• Perform as a mascot for appearances, as needed
• Handle maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs for all mascot costumes.
• Maintain the highest level of Guest Service as possible with staff and fans while always serving as a positive community representative of the team
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor within the Marketing department or other departments as needed
