Job Summary:
The Store Associate role is responsible for the overall customer experience. This position will take customer orders via phone and online to ensure orders are properly accounted for.
The Store Associate also follows the operational procedures set by Edible Arrangements to create high-quality fruit arrangements such as dipped fruit boxes, platters, boards and ETG products.
This position works closely with customers, other store associates, and the store manager to ensure that customers have an exceptional Edible Arrangements experience.
Location: This position will be located at our Lubbock, TX Corporate Store located at 8215 University Ave #130, Lubbock, TX 79423
What that looks like day to day:
* Welcome and connect with every customer, providing excellent customer service * Discover customer needs quickly and appropriately suggest products to enhance the customer experience * Accept and process customer orders via phone and via the online platform * Build arrangements according to Edible operational procedures and brand standards * Prepare a variety of arrangements according to customer orders or supervisor instructions, following approved procedures and proper portion sizes * Follow proper food sanitation and handling procedures * Wash, peel and/or cut various fruit to prepare for arranging * Package arrangements or dipped fruit according to Edible operational procedures
* Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the supervisor's cleaning standards; Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes as directed * Remove trash and clean kitchen waste containers daily * Work as a store team player to ensure all store tasks are completed timely * Other store duties, as assigned
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred * Computer skills including Microsoft software and point of sale skills * Ability to conduct frequent lifting, carrying and/or pushing objects weighing up to 50 lbs. * Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and scooping throughout assigned shifts. * Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 85% of the work shift. * Ability to learn the quality, cleanliness, and inspection standards for a working food space. * Skilled customer service techniques and, in building long-term relationships and building the trust and loyalty of customers. * Skilled in managing difficult customer situations in a calm and professional manner. * Ability to take responsibility in learning all aspects of the position. * Ability to show up to work timely and work assigned shifts in a reliable manner. * Ability to take direction and apply constructive feedback from supervisor and/or manager. * Ability to demonstrate a professional, clean, and neat appearance * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrates a positive attitude when faced with challenges and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
