The Cato Corporation is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team!
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for graphic design and preparation of photography for Cato, Versona and It’s Fashion brands. Candidate should be a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for creating compelling graphics with an interest in communicating the latest trends in women’s fashion. Strong photo retouching skills are required. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines is crucial. This position works as part of an in-house creative team to achieve overall brand objectives through effective message strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Photo re-touching for all eCommerce digital assets.
- Assist with the creation of images and graphics for email marketing campaigns.
- Create and update images, graphics and videos needed for social media efforts.
- Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
- Stay abreast of competitors’ advertising as well as current design trends and industry technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum two-year college degree in Graphic Design.
- 1- 3 years experience as a Graphic Designer.
- Creativity and graphic design skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Premier.
- Experience with photography and videography.
- Experience in social media platforms and tools.
- A good understanding of visual design principles – excellent judgement of color, design, layout and digital specifications.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong skills in work planning, scheduling and time management.
- Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities.
