Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a dynamic US Sr. Packaging Designer in USA who

will have demonstrated the ability to successfully design/develop and commercialize packages to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to lead cross functional teams and build excellent working relationships with VIP customers.

Responsibilities
  • Interface and collaborate with customers, understand customer needs and translate those needs into designing requirements leading to specific packaging and process specifications.
  • Develop and implement packaging designs for products and accessories. Balance a positive unboxing experience, protection, containment, brand communication and cost-effectiveness. Help to bring innovative packaging to meet customer needs.
  • Use knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing process and transportation testing to deliver exceptional packaging solutions against demanding design requirements.
  • Generate and maintain frequently packaging development updates within the internal team and manage multiple project streams and communicate with customer.
  • Work closely with US customers and global factories on co-development and execution of designs, lead the design portion of the business case for new packages.
  • Be a proficient user of the Kongsberg cutting table for iterative design prototyping/simple handwork and of packaging laboratory equipment drop tester, vibration table and environmental chamber.
  • On site support on technical and quality related

Requirements
  • 8+ years of industry experience with a company utilizing packaging designing or engineering.
  • Experience with structural packaging design software such as ArtiosCAD.
  • Experience with 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks, NX or equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical challenges and managing them through resolution.
  • Ability to multi-task, work quickly, and communicate accurately and effectively.
  • Ability to work comfortably individually and good team player.
  • Customer orientation and business acumen.
  • Accountability and be able to be working under pressure.
  • Ability to travel frequently, within U.S. and oversea.
