Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, an understanding of nonprofit funding, and the ability to communicate effectively with potential funders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research: Conduct research to identify potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate partners, aligning them with the organization's needs and goals.
  • Proposal Writing: Write compelling and clear grant proposals, ensuring they meet funders' guidelines and effectively communicate the organization's mission, programs, and financial needs.
  • Grant Reporting: Track grant progress and provide accurate reports on outcomes, spending, and other metrics as required by funders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with program managers, financial officers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for grant proposals and reports.
  • Proposal Management: Manage the grant submission process, including deadlines, required documentation, and follow-up communications with funders.
  • Grant Tracking: Maintain a detailed database of submitted and pending grants, including status updates and key deadlines.
  • Budget Preparation: Work with the finance team to develop grant budgets that align with the organization's financial goals and ensure funding requests are in line with budgetary needs.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential funders, providing them with updates on the organization's projects and impact.
  • Grant Compliance: Ensure all grant activities comply with the terms and conditions outlined by the funders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing grants from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to craft clear, persuasive proposals.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills, with the ability to assess the suitability of funding opportunities.
  • Knowledge of grant regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
