Position Overview:
Advance your career as a Grant Writer, where your writing expertise, research skills, and ability to secure funding are a key factor in an organization's success. We're actively seeking individuals who excel in crafting compelling grant proposals, building relationships with funders, and securing mission-critical resources for our nonprofit employers!
Responsibilities:
- Researching Funding Opportunities: Identifying potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources that align with the organization's mission and programs.
- Grant Proposal Writing: Writing persuasive and compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's mission, goals, programs, and impact to potential funders.
- Budget Development: Collaborating with program staff and finance personnel to develop accurate and realistic project budgets that align with grant guidelines and funder requirements.
- Grant Application Submission: Completing and submitting grant applications according to the specified deadlines, ensuring that all required materials, documents, and attachments are included and submitted correctly.
- Relationship Building: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with funders, grant-making organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance the organization's visibility, credibility, and funding opportunities.
- Grant Reporting and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with grant requirements and regulations, including reporting on the use of grant funds, program outcomes, and impact, as well as any other reporting obligations specified by the funder.
- Collaboration with Program Staff: Collaborating with program staff, administrators, and other stakeholders to gather information, data, and insights needed for grant proposals and reporting.
- Grant Management: Monitoring grant timelines, deliverables, and requirements, tracking grant expenditures, and ensuring that grant funds are used appropriately and effectively to achieve programmatic goals and objectives.
- Experience: Previous experience in grant writing or fundraising for nonprofit organizations, including a successful track record of securing grant funding from government agencies, foundations, corporations, or other sources.
- Understanding of Nonprofit Programs and Operations: Familiarity with nonprofit programs, services, and operations.
- Exceptional Writing Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals, with the ability to effectively communicate the organization's mission, programs, and impact to potential funders.
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research to identify relevant funding opportunities, understand funder priorities and guidelines, and gather data and information needed for grant proposals.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including program staff, funders, and partners.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail in reviewing grant guidelines, preparing grant applications, and ensuring accuracy and completeness in all aspects of grant writing and submission.
