Paducah Television Operations LLC is hiring: Morning News Anchor in Lincoln

KLKN-TV, the ABC-affiliated station in Lincoln, Nebraska is looking for an energetic and dedicated person to join our team as News Anchor for our two-hour-long morning show. We’re looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, a compelling on-air presence, and a passion for engaging with our community.

Lincoln is a vibrant community known for its low cost of living and high quality of life. From the Haymarket District and its eclectic spirit right next to the University to the 131 miles of hiking/biking trails through town to tree-lined neighborhoods where neighbors are like family, there is something for everyone.

You will…

• Anchor morning newscasts
• Actively participate in planning of morning show
• Engage with community at public events on station’s behalf
• Pitch stories that have a right now impact
• Write stories for social media and our website
• Shoot, write, and edit special reports as needed
• Create web-extra content
• Perform other duties as assigned

You have…

• 2-years of experience as an anchor
• Leadership skills
• A curious, innovative spirit
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Thrive under pressure and deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred
• Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
