JOB SUMMARY:
The Full-Time Audio Specialist will be responsible for the front of house at the Legacy Campus during all services hosted by Chase Oaks Church. They will build a team of volunteers to support audio needs, collaborate with other departments around the "Chase Oaks Sound," and train others on using equipment and mixing audio at all campuses. They will also provide expertise regarding audio in live and studio settings which includes, but is not limited to, integration, maintenance, and problem solving. All Production staff must work together, cross-train, and spend time assisting on all manner of projects. A successful candidate is someone who has excellent communication skills and can coach with kindness while being coached with a growth mindset.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend and mix audio at a high level for the Legacy Campus and occasionally for other campuses
- Manage and schedule volunteer team for the Legacy Campus
- Develop volunteer team leads to lead the weekend service in the Audio Specialist's absence
- Coordinate with the Production Director and volunteer team lead to establish a schedule of "off" weekends for rest
- Provide audio training for campus teams
- Create documentation on best practices and standards for mixing audio and achieving the "Chase Oaks Sound"
- Attend all assigned on-site and virtual meetings relevant to production
- Facilitate production needs for all approved events
- Learn and develop skills in all aspects of live production
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot computers, sound, lighting, and video systems
- Be available to work flexible hours
- Be available during Christmas and Easter seasons for additional work hours to accommodate extensive preparation and set designs and/or to train and set up teams for successful execution
JOB PROFILE:
SPECIFIC SKILLS / STRENGTHS
- Must understand live and broadcast audio infrastructure, interfacing, and concepts at a high level (ex. Yamaha, DiGiCo, AVID, ProTools, Dante, MADI, Waves, DSP, Londons)
- Has strong working knowledge of setup, install, and management of Windows/MacOS operating systems and the hardware associated
- Must understand private networking for signal and data transport
- Must have skills and experience with implementing a new audio console, network, and PA
- Has experience in tuning a PA for a room - greatly desired
- Has strong working experience with terminating/installing audio, video, and/or lighting cabling
- Has skills to diagnose and repair technical issues
- Has some working experience in lighting and video equipment in live venue settings
- Has some working experience with ProPresenter
- Has ability to multi-task and work independently in carrying out assignments to completion
- Must have excellent communication / customer service skills and be able to interface with the Chase Oaks staff, guests, and members
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
- Requires the ability to deal with non-routine matters, such as special projects
- Has strong organizational skills
- Must be comfortable with and understand responsible use of power tools, ladders, and test equipment
EXPERIENCE DESIRED
- 5+ years of technical experience, working in an AVL or another relevant field
- 5+ years working in live audio mixing and systems infrastructure
- Working in church/worship environment
EDUCATION DESIRED
- Vocational or college degree in a technical field desired but not required with extensive experience
- CTS or other AV Industry certifications desired but not required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- There are no employee supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to speak effectively and understandably on the phone. The ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries regarding the Chase Oaks technical environment is also required. High attention to customer service.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Strong working knowledge of Apple computers and operating systems
- Understanding of computer networking
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendaring, and email
- Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Data entry skill & experience
- Familiarity with databases
