Event Management
- Primary point person for audio quality and audio-related technical matters for events on the Lake Forest Campus.
- Manage event setup, operation, strike, and resets that predominantly occur in the Worship Center Venue.
- Mix large and medium-scale events within the Worship Center venue (FOH, MON, AND Broadcast).
- Schedule and lead the Audio team on a weekly basis.
Team/Project Management
- Lead audio initiatives and processes.
- Champion healthy working relationships with band, artists, and audio staff.
- Manage Worship Center audio systems.
- Oversee daily project setups and event management to ensure consistency and customer service levels.
- Lead preventative maintenance, schedule repair, inspection, and audio inventory.
- Work collectively with other team members to ensure technical venues remain optimal and operational on a daily basis.
- Lead recruitment and retention of audio volunteers across the Lake Forest campus.
- Weekly check-ins with Audio Team Members.
- Attend all team meetings and devotionals
Administrative Management
- Point person for any studio engineering, editing, and remixing of recorded media for Saddleback Worship and Saddleback Church as assigned. (This includes, but is not limited to, podcasts, field recording for video, original music content, and weekend services).
- Audio maintenance budget forecasting/reconciling
Conferences and Special Events
- Assist in providing technical services for conferences and special events.
- Set, operate, and strike outdoor PA systems.
- Manage audio rental contracts for all needs outside Lake Forest resources.
- Coordinate audio needs between technical and conference support teams.
WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
- 3 years AVL industry (or equivalent ministry based) management background
- 3 years paid mixing experience
- Proficiency in mixing a high number of inputs and outputs, also utilizing advanced scene management.
- In-depth knowledge of large format Audio Systems and related equipment.
- Background in additional audio areas. Examples include: recording, RF planning & troubleshooting, digital networking, backline, intercom, inventory management, maintenance, project management
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 1 certification in primary skill set and working toward 1 certification in secondary skill set within 2 years: Audio: Avid Venue Certified - OPERATOR: LIVE SOUND, Pro Tools HD Certified - OPERATOR POST, Soundweb, QSys, SMAART, Yamaha M7 Console Certification.
- Working towards membership of industry associations: Audio Engineering Society (AES) or the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services (SPARS)
- Proficiency in ProTools recording, mixing, and mastering.
- Extensive knowledge in microphone placement, signal flow, mixing techniques in a live sound envinronment.
- Experience with Yamaha Rivage Consoles
- Computer proficiency: Apple platform, Google Workspace, Task Management tools
- Strong team leadership and people skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to self-start and problem-solve issues in a calm and calculated manner
