SUMMARY
The position is responsible for the infrastructure and operations management of the Broadcast & A/V systems at Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place. The primary responsibility is to provide strategic and tactical oversight including short/long range planning, metric development, reporting and team management to ensure the department is operating within the approved budget.
Additionally, the position will ensure the Broadcast & A/V team provides second to none delivery of a broad range of services and solutions to include, but not limited to supporting the physical infrastructure of all stadium digital assets including control room infrastructure, video boards, ribbon boards, field boards, comm systems, cameras, televisions, PA/stadium audio system, event lighting, staging and broadcast support.

Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage the department's annual budget.
- Analyze and evaluate current Broadcast & A/V systems and develop capital improvement plans that cover a multi-year roadmap for all technology and support activities to include continual enhancements and related software updates
- Provide a scalable Broadcast & A/V infrastructure vision and strategy that supports and/or enhances strategic business initiatives
- Manage all Broadcast & A/V Operations ensuring operational reliability and stability of services using industry standard, best practices, and SLA's
- Make recommendations to senior management on future technology to maximize service and support
- Supports AV related revenue generation for Gillette Stadium Special Events
- Provide staffing and support to ensure the seamless execution of Stadium Events and other High-Profile Events from start to finish.
- Manage staff and providing technical direction as required
- Install, maintain, modify, operate, and support complex broadcast systems and architecture.
- Demonstrates consistently high standard of engineering practices, assists with the installation of new equipment, and has a strong understanding of CAD/As-Built drawings.
- Mitigates issues associated with video server systems, digital audio mixing equipment, video productions switchers, graphic platforms, camera/robotics systems, and intercom systems
- Establish and coordinate routine preventive and corrective maintenance procedures and schedules for all Broadcast and A/V equipment including software updates.
- Procure equipment/parts and ensure adherence to engineering practices and standards.
- Ability to rapidly diagnose video system and IT problems and provide alternative solutions if needed to maintain broadcast continuity.
- Partner with Facilities, IT and construction for project and stadium enhancements.
- Work closely with IT staff in supporting broadcast computing and networking systems.
- Communicates with broadcast partners for pre/post event requirements.
- Ensures the AV team always maintains appropriate inventory levels, issues are reported immediately, and followed through on until resolution is complete.
- Manage contract engineers and third-party vendors to include maintaining positive working relationships
- Communicates regularly with Event Planners, Clients, Technicians, and Facility Managers to ensure that all A/V components are implemented in such a way as to provide a solution that meets the demands, not only of individuals involved, but also the goal(s) of the event.
- Manage and maintain architecture of the A/V operating environment
- Manage AV System as-builts, diagrams and system performance documents
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent Technical Degree in video engineering
- 7 years of experience in video and broadcast engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the sports or entertainment field
- Knowledge of information technology systems, network infrastructure and operations.
- Understands the needs and requirements of network broadcast outlets for live event broadcasts
- Proficient with various computer programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and CAD
- Knowledgeable of industry standard technologies, best practices, and service programs
- Demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities
- Able to effectively develop short- and long-range plans to include department goals, measurements, and results
- Demonstrated budget management capabilities as this position has full budget and expense responsibilities for the department
- Strong team player with cross functional collaboration and customer focus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend and be able to lift 40 pounds.
