Job Description
Purpose of Position: The Communications Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of digital and integrated marketing communications strategies for NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln and assist with graphic design needs, including digital content creation, brochure development and database management, as well as digital and print layout, design & writing, and any other related duties as assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the day-to-day management of NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln Hospital's social media presence and digital marketing campaigns across a wide variety of platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Draft content for internal and external websites.
- Interview and collaborate with clinicians, staff, and patients to develop social media and newsletter content in accordance with the strategic priorities of the hospital.
- Attend hospital events for on-site social media coverage and event promotion.
- In partnership with the Communications and Marketing Director, develop paid promotions for various internal and marketing initiatives.
- Own and maintain the social media editorial calendar to proactively identify content. opportunities, ensure consistent coverage, and organize content per strategic initiatives.
- Play an active role in measuring and analyzing social media metrics and evaluating the effectiveness of strategies across various channels.
- Monitor and respond to direct messages and conversations across all social media channels.
- Provide guidance and serve as a departmental resource for hospital and healthcare social media best practices.
- In partnership with the Communications and Marketing Director, develop and oversee various strategic initiatives, including the development of an ambassador/influencer program.
- Take still photographs for company events both internal and external (outreach) event.
- Editing and creating videos by using modern software.Communi
- Record interviews, internal meetings, and conferences through video and audio.
- Research industry and competitor trends and suggest new content ideas.
- Comfortable working with different personalities, new people, and subject matter experts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Perform all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and behavioral expectations of NYC Health + Hospitals
Qualification Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related discipline; and
2. Four (4) years of satisfactory experience executing communications strategies and designing and implemented integrated communications plans, three (3) years of which must have been in a responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity; or
3. Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in disciplines, as listed in "1" above.
