The Department of University Relations and Marketing is seeking to hire a Web Content Manager/Communication Specialist. The selected individual will upload and maintain multimedia content on the university's website in conjunction with the Director of University Relations. Trains and assists trusted content management system (CMS) users with maintaining content at the departmental level. Promotes university programs and activities through all media platforms. Assists with writing and editing press releases, presentations, reports, photos, videos and other communications for release to media and/or public. Assists with maintaining the agency's media contacts. Conducts interviews, researches topics and gathers information for use in various communications. Helps with event coordination and is a resource for the team during press conferences, official visits, and other happenings.

Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position:
- Bachelor's degree in communications. journalism, public relations or related field.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Experience with multimedia editing software and content management systems.
- Complete projects as assigned in a timely fashion with as few errors as possible.
- Consistently propose and execute enterprise content.
- Complete tasks as instructed, communicate statuses and creatively resolve barriers to success.
- Occasional evening and weekend activities are required.
