Texas Health Action (THA) is a community-informed non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to culturally affirming, quality health services in a safe and supportive environment, with expertise in serving LGBTQIA+ people and those impacted by HIV. Kind Clinic proudly serves Texas with four vibrant locations: two in Austin, one in San Antonio, and another in Dallas plus virtual care services available to all residents across Texas. THA is currently looking for a Creative Specialists to join our Creative Department team. The Creative Specialists will help develop, produce, design, and illustrate engaging visual and written comment for digital and print platforms. They will be supporting the creative team in executing programmatic and fundraising campaign’s to maximize brand exposure and generate revenue. This is a hybrid position that requires working at least one day a week from one of our Austin clinic spaces. This position reports to the Creative Director.
What you would do:- Work closely with Creative Director to execute THA brand strategy.
- Brainstorm and develop visual content for branded campaigns.
- Graphic design and/or illustration of digital and print materials, including social media graphics, reports, flyers, brochures, merchandise, stickers, signs, etc.
- Copywriting and editing messaging for emails, graphics, and website.
- Monitor content industry and design trends, practices, and technologies.
- Stay up to date with THA programs, services, and the evolving landscape of LGBTQIA+ healthcare.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Track existing creative projects to completion and report on results.
- Manage incoming marketing and creative requests from colleagues in other departments.
- Occasional support for in-person events.
- Completing occasional written, video, or mixed-media projects as assigned.
- Recording and tracking project-based data.
- Manage and maintain marketing material inventory and digital library.
- Provide some administrative assistance to the larger Marketing and Communications Department such as scheduling meetings, prepare materials for presentations, including proposals, slide decks, etc.
- Place orders with external vendors.
- Collect and process receipts and payment requests
- Demonstrated experience in the production of photography, videography, or audio content, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with creative objectives and project timelines.

Based on job duties and requirements, this position is placed in our salary band 42, with a hourly pay range of $22.00 to $25.00. Initial placement within this range will be based on hired candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
Requirements
Your Previous Background Must Include:
- Graphic Design for print and digital
- Illustration for print and digital
- Strong written communication skills
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
- A minimum of one year of graphic or creative experience is required. Must be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and/or other creative software. Experience in healthcare preferred but not required. Experience with LGBTQIA+ and/or other marginalized communities a strong plus. Bilingual Spanish proficiency strongly preferred. Microsoft Office Skills with an ability to become familiar with company specific programs or software.
Your Background Would Ideally Include:
- Bachelors in Graphic Design or equivalent program
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Special consideration for candidates with experience creating content for sexual health, LGBTQIA+ communities, and development campaigns.
