Job Summary
We are seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic Production Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of relevant work experience and is passionate about consumer packaging graphics. As a Production Artist, you will work collaboratively and independently, bringing creativity and polished designs to each creative project. You will work closely with the Art Director and Senior Designer in a fast-paced environment and growing organization. Role: As a Production Artist, you will get to do more than just execute designs. You will use both your technical and design skills to create impactful products. More specifically, you'll get to:
Create and manipulate graphics through Adobe Creative Suite apps such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Express
Format graphics and proof files, collect files for output for print, and other processes
Create refined mocks of products in-house for use in sales and retailer shelf sets
Assist design team with producing print, packaging, advertising, point-of-purchase, and digital graphics
Assess project specifics and create a final product that adheres to those requirements
Collaborate with the design team staff to define design goals
Review and proof graphic materials before the projects are marked as complete
Follow a product workflow and timeline to ensure projects progress in a timely manner
We need you to have:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.F.A.) in Graphic Design or closely related field and 3-5 years of related experience and/or training
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Knowledge of pre-press procedures and file formats
Understanding of color management and printing processes
Strong visual aesthetic and design sense
Ability to adapt existing designs to production specifications
Attention to detail and consistency across design elements
Creativity in problem-solving and finding solutions within design constraints
It's a plus! 2+ years of experience in CPG brand marketing
OTC pharma packaging design experience
You'll be successful here with: Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders
Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and concerns
Efficiently manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
Prioritization and time management skills to meet production schedules
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements
Understanding of brand guidelines and design consistency
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to print production
Ability to analyze and interpret design briefs
Strong analytical skills to identify potential issues in design files
