URBN is looking for a Creative Content Specialist. The URBN Creative Content Specialist, part of the corporate communications team, will work with the URBN Shared Services Creative Director to produce engaging and impactful content for various URBN internal and external communications. You will be responsible for creating a wide range of content, including photography, short-form and long-form videos and motion graphics. The ideal candidate should have a knack for visual storytelling and collaboration, be able to jump into projects head-first, juggle multiple priorities, and have a strong understanding of and passion for employee engagement.
Role Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Conceptualize, plan, and execute the production of high-quality photography and video content that reflects the companys values, mission, and employee experiences. Includes: building detailed storyboards, capturing content, editing footage, licensing appropriate music, paring down long form cuts for shorter uses, preparing videos for distribution, and implementing titles and graphics.
- Internal Communications: Develop engaging visual content to support internal communication initiatives, including employee newsletters, intranet articles, and company events.
- External Communications: Create compelling visual content for external audiences, including corporate website, LinkedIn, and Talent Acquisition marketing materials.
- Storytelling: Craft visual narratives that showcase the unique aspects of the company culture, employee stories, and company achievements.
- Project Management: Manage content creation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align content creation with overall communication strategies.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends in visual storytelling and content creation to continuously elevate the quality and impact of the company's visual communications.
- Administration: Execute and maintain up to date imagery for our intranet and external website and create and maintain a photo repository.
- Relationships: Ability to work with a variety of different stakeholders at different levels of seniority
- Flexibility needed for content coverage. May require working outside of normal business hours and travel on occasion.
Role Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of URBN brands and their customers
- Impressive portfolio of past work
- Proficiency using mirrorless camera, video, Gimble, audio and continuous lighting equipment
- Experience in event capture videography and lean production methods a plus
- Skilled in Premiere
- Fluent with photo and audio editing software, utilizing Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, and Photoshop
- Knowledge of social media video platform and sizes
- Proficient at color grading and matching
- Adobe After Effects and text animation skills a plus
- Strong understanding of the relationship between words, photography, video, and graphic design
- Creative thinker who can take initiative, self-manage, meet deadlines, and complete tasks in timely manner
- Ability and willingness to listen and learn from feedback
- Ability to work on a variety of projects at one time and be adaptable to business needs
- Contribute to a collaborative, creative and inclusive learning environment
- Organized, self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize, follow through and meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced and agile environment.
- Comfortable with rapid development, producing deliverables under tight deadlines
Education
Degree in Communications, Marketing, Art or another relevant field.
