WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
SUMMARY
The NHL Productions Digital group is seeking a coordinating editor responsible for the oversight of all aspects of video production, beginning with concept creation all the way through final asset delivery.
The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of visual storytelling, advanced editing and post-production skills, as well as a keen eye for creativity. This role encompasses all facets of post-production including editing, graphics, color correction, sound mixing, asset management, and syndication.
You will work closely with senior members of the video team to generate new and creative content that can be executed in both long and short-form video formats, with a key focus on delivery to varying social platforms as well as production of live streaming content.
Lastly, this candidate has their finger on the pulse of the NHL and possesses a confident knowledge of current NHL news, trends, players, teams, and its history. Candidates are expected to understand how to create content for the game of hockey and its fans while maintaining the NHL's brand voice.

SALARY RANGE:
$100-120K

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit long and short-form content for distribution to NHL platforms
- Perform post-production related tasks on multiple projects in production, including but not limited to static and motion graphics, color correction, compositing, and audio mixing
- Conceptualize, produce, and deliver original content on-site at NHL tent-pole and media gathering events
- Collaborate with senior members of the video department to conceive and develop new content for use on multiple platforms
- Create and edit sponsored content and deliverables
- Produce live streaming content for YouTube platform
- Develop strategic, breakthrough creative that enhances the NHL brand and shows deepens engagement while building audience connections
- Work with VP, Digital Content Production to oversee the production and formatting of videos for desktop, mobile, and social media channels, with a focus on YouTube
- Ensure content maintains high-quality production value while adhering to NHL brand guidelines
- Adhere to strict guidelines for digital asset rights and music licensing
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
- 10+ years in a deadline-driven, high-profile sports and entertainment environment leading digital-forward content and promotion for mobile, desktop, and broadcast
- 8+ years of leadership with a proven track record for building, managing, and developing a production team
- 7-10 years advanced experience in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
- A creative portfolio of proven work with a capacity to generate new revenue and put into practice new concepts
- Proven ability to develop and produce video over mobile, digital, and linear platforms
- Experience leading and delivering a broad range of creative projects including digital campaigns, social content, experiential activations, sales partnerships, etc.
- Knowledge of content and audience differentiation on various platforms including YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
- Ability to take direction and work independently to complete projects
- Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Ability to think outside the box, innovate, and lead the team through testing and learning
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- The job requires out-of-town travel and some weekend/night work
