WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
The schedule for this position is Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.

This position focuses on identifying, creating, distributing, and publishing content to the NHL's digital platforms. As the demand for content on the NHL's social platforms continues to grow, this is your opportunity to grow with us in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment, reaching our fans around the globe.

The ideal candidate is a digital expert who knows all the latest trends, how to create content for all digital platforms, and is obsessed with analytics. Not only do they understand Desktop, Mobile, and YouTube, but they understand how to create content about the game of hockey, the NHL's players and teams, statistics, and history around the game while maintaining a brand voice.

Lastly, this candidate has their finger on the pulse of the NHL and spends their free time immersing themselves in podcasts, and message boards or consuming short and long-form content about the NHL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Developing new content franchises with the Video Content Creation team for long-form content, short-form content, live content, and Shorts content
  • Making data-based decisions to optimize and maintain the NHL's digital platforms
  • Monitoring platform trends and brand health to make content decisions for the NHL's digital platforms
  • Developing SEO strategy for titles and descriptions
  • Developing thumbnail packages to increase Click-Through Rates and Impressions
  • Finding new ways to engage with the NHL's community in the YouTube Community feed
  • Management and upkeep of presence in Google OneBox
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience


Required
  • Experience producing and editing video content for digital platforms, particularly YouTube
  • Proven ability to develop and produce video over mobile, digital, and linear platforms
  • Proven track record in improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines by using industry-standard SEO practices
  • A creative portfolio of proven work with a capacity to generate new revenue and put into practice new concepts
  • Expertise in creating diverse video formats, from linear programming to digital storytelling
  • Track record of success in experimental environments

SALARY RANGE:

$70-75K

Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
