JOB PURPOSE:
Edit content for a broadcast-style news program

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble raw footage in preparation for inputting into a broadcast format.
- Input uncut rushes and sound; synchronize and store them onto Student Media's warehouse and broadcast platforms.
- Digitally cut files and prepare the sequence of the broadcast.
- Create a rough cut of the program/film to utilize in determining the final product.
- Oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing.
- Write voiceovers or commentary for the reporters as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to edit raw content to produce a broadcast or other video product.
- Knowledge of broadcast journalism principles and techniques.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of video editing techniques, protocols and standards.
