JOB SUMMARY: This position is split between two major focuses: content creation and live video production. As it relates to content creation, you'll be an integral part of creating meaningful video and graphic content that will further the mission and vision of our church. In addition to content creation is a live production focus, where you'll be part of crafting meaningful live worship experiences for our church family through the use of broadcast-grade video production gear.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

A. Content Creation
  • Be able to see the video editing & storytelling process from start to finish: from pre-production (writing, storyboarding, planning) through production (filming, creating), to post-production (editing & distribution).
    • This includes being able to setup a basic interview video shoot (i.e. properly composing and exposing a multi-camera shoot with a basic 3-point light setup, and also mic and record audio).
  • Be able to craft fitting and creative graphic content for video projects and live event experiences.

B. Live Production
  • Serve as a live video director in one of our weekly worship services and other live events.
  • Setup and prep video production equipment for worship services/live events (cameras, tripods, computers, switchers, monitors, projectors, etc.).
  • Prep needed content for worship services/live events (lyrics, graphics, videos, LED content, etc.).
  • Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, while also working with our team on strategies for volunteer recruitment, care, and retention.

C. General Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings as scheduled by supervisor.
  • Be physically capable and willing to assist the Production team for live events, such as load-in and load-out for events, video shoots, and mission trips.
  • Willing to travel as part of your job, such as filming/photographing mission trips, kids/student camps, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in all regular staff meetings, functions, retreats, training, etc.
  • Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.

    • Collaboration - Our overall mission and vision drive what we do. We work hard to destroy ministry silos and believe that we are better when we work together.
    • Development - We desire to grow and improve in our work. We strive to multiply our impact by training and developing others to follow God's calling.
  • Critical Skills
    • A good working knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere and/or DaVinci Resolve). Proficiency in Adobe After Effects is preferred but not required.
