DUTIES
- Identify customer needs though phone, electronic and face-to-face support; assist by providing reader's advisory services, reference, library technology, library policies, and directional assistance.
- Plan and coordinate programs and services.
- Promote library services to the community through education and outreach.
- Evaluate and select materials for an assigned area of the collection.
- Plan, present and arrange publicity for programs both in the library and in the community.
- Provide instruction on the use of library resources, as needed
- Supervise adult volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and activities, as appropriate.
- Conduct orientation tours and community outreach activities for individuals and/or groups.
- Provide expertise and recommendations to establish and updates policies and procedures.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and help facilitate departmental projects and goals.
- Assist with collection development and collection maintenance, including but not limited to, evaluation, selection, and weeding of assigned library collection areas.
- Assist with managing branch room reservations.
- Record statistical information, as needed.
- Participate in internal and external community activities and committees, as directed.
- Serve as a back-up to Branch Management in their absence.
- Complete and provide library programing and services with a focus on adults.
- Complete and provide library programing and services with a focus on teens and young adults.
- Develop cooperative programs and serve as liaison between the public library and the schools, community organizations and community groups dedicated to serving teens and young adults.

- Master's Degree from an ALA accredited college or university in Library Science, Information Science, Information Studies, or related field,
