Library assistants perform tasks that ensure Hartford HealthCare Health Science Libraries provide an orderly, accessible collection of resources for colleagues to use. Although the Library Assistant is centralized at one of the HHC Medical Libraries, their responsibilities support library services at all of our locations.
As a member of the Health Science Libraries Team, this position is responsible for many diverse daily functions. Library Assistant specific responsibilities include document delivery, interlibrary loans, and maintaining patron library accounts. The Library Assistant is also responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Health Science Libraries by aiding all Hartford Healthcare colleagues throughout the entire system.
Qualifications
Education:
Associates degree or LTA (Library Technical Assistant) certificate from accredited college or university
Experience:
Prior Medical Library experience preferred
