Responsible for leading the strategy, development and implementation of all tactical marketing strategies. Participates with Business Line senior leaders in strategic planning contributing to the overall vision and direction for the product marketing programs. Develops and implements complex marketing strategies and tactics to achieve targeted new sales and revenue goals and to enhance renewal rate levels. Monitors actual new business results versus plan (holistically and by marketing tactic) and responds to both positive and negative trends with revised tactics. Works closely with the Business Line, Sales Managers, MBA and External Partners to track, measure and adjust existing programs or develop new, more effective tactics, as necessary. Assesses existing programs and recommends strategies and tactics to help create broad impact, scalable and efficient marketing strategies to drive growth across ACA. Develops, manages and balances the Product Marketing Budget, working with internal and external stakeholders to build and implement marketing programs in order to achieve the annual new revenue goals. Communicates with Executive Stakeholders as to current state of marketing budgets and spends on a regular basis. Indirectly manages and directs ACA Marketing Partners such as MBA, eBusiness and Account Teams on strategy and day to day activities. May also directly supervise lower level Marketing personnel Achieve cost efficiencies by overseeing all marketing messaging and ensure messaging is consistent with the brand message to leverage the marketing dollars spent including partnering with internal and external partners to maximize resources and enhance the product messaging across all channels. Partners with internal legal counsel for review of all marketing materials Partners with Agents / Associates, Sales Managers and Business Line Leadership to create new business events, partnerships and programs. Conceives and directs new initiatives that will serve to gain exposure, generate revenue and maintain a strong brand identity for the designated product with AAA. Owner 3rd party partner relationships, building solid, effective relationships to help achieve business goals, an improved Member experience and to effectively run the day to day business. Builds strategic alliances with relevant internal and external organizations and media partners to optimize efficiency of marketing efforts. Works with external organizational partners and internal and external teams to create and implement marketing materials for products including direct mail, creative assets, email and SEM programs, etc. and to measure the effectiveness of each program. Oversees all programs and initiatives that transpire through the marketing services department or external partner services (related to the designated business line) such as special events, advertising, direct response programs, sales support, digital activity, sponsorships, social media implementation, media relations, internal incentives, client proposals and problem solving. Provides marketing expertise, counsel and consultation to sales managers and agents to strengthen sales efforts. As a member of the larger Corporate Marketing Team, works to develop partnerships within the team to optimize marketing efforts. Presents new strategies for acquiring new audiences and retaining existing to senior management Understands and maximizes target audience segmentation throughout all marketing tactics to implement a multi-tiered target audience strategy for product acquisition efforts. Works with AAA National and other stakeholders regarding the dashboard metrics. Coordinates tactical marketing programs with Corporate Marketing. Communicates with outside vendors regarding advertising and marketing. Develops and executes on messaging based on the marketing customer journey (Awareness, Consideration, Conversion and Optimization). Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelors’ degree (BS/BA) in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree 7+ years’ applicable experience with 5+ years’ experience with direct marketing, broad-based media, and digital marketing Comprehensive understanding of the marketing discipline, including principles and functions, consumer research and methodologies for quantifying results Superior written and oral communication skills Ability to work effectively managing a variety of projects and tasks requiring significant interaction with others outside the department. Flexibility to quickly adapt to changes in priorities Ability to interact with senior management with strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time Ability to analyze results and identify and implement strategies to improve business results Proven planning and budgeting skills A high degree of professionalism and integrity Desktop computing skills, including the use of standard business application software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, MAC Quark, Adobe desktop publishing, etc.) Ability to work as a team member with all levels of management, as well as outside vendors, suppliers and club partners Ability to mentor and lead others ACA is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment practices laws.
