Job Summary:

A Marketing Specialist is responsible for a broad range of marketing tasks, supporting the overall strategy, execution, and analysis of marketing initiatives for specific departments (clients) as assigned. They must possess versatility in various marketing functions such as digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and advertising.

Essential Functions for assigned departments:
Client Liaison: Serve as the Marketing liaison to client departments becoming the subject matter expert and advocate for your clients' objectives and goals.
Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit engaging marketing content for various platforms (blogs, websites, email campaigns, social media, PR, etc.).
Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns across different channels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives.
Social Media Management: Create, curate, and schedule content across multiple social media platforms; engage with followers, and monitor trends.
Email Marketing: Develop and manage email marketing campaigns, including list management, segmentation, automations, and performance tracking.
Website, SEO, SEM, and Advertising: Maintain your clients' presence on gsnetx.org. Optimize content for SEO, work on paid digital advertising campaigns and track analytics to improve search rankings.
Public Relations collaboration: Work closely with Marketing Manager to elevate your clients' activities as it concerns Public Relations (press releases, partnerships, activations, etc.) Specialists may be asked to contribute content to media alerts and press releases.
Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels and marketing materials.
Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing Manager, Marketing Specialists, and Graphic Designer to maintain consistent communication across channels and for all clients.

Other:
• Must work in-person at Headquarters 3 days per week
• Specialists will train and serve as subject matter expert on one or more council-subscribed software including, but not limited to: Salesforce Marketing Clouse, Adobe Experience Manager, Canva, Avochato, and media monitoring software.
• Knowledge of Canva, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and basic web design a plus
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish and English).
• Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary.
• If applicable, must have reliable transportation, hold a valid driver's license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
• Strong understanding of various digital marketing channels (social media, email, SEO, PPC, content marketing).
• Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, social media management tools, and email marketing software.
• Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail and design.
• Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom this job puts them in contact.
• Upon employment, employee must register as an adult member in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
• Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, before and after hours, and on weekends, when required.
• Must complete and pass a criminal background check.
