Job Summary

Real Chemistry is looking for a Manager, Social Media to join our growing team!

This person must live within the greater New York City metro area and may work a hybrid schedule, with the opportunity to flex in and out of the New York City office.

What you'll do:

  • Master all things social media: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, you name it. You will have in-depth knowledge of today's top social platforms.
  • Develop organic and paid strategies: Advise clients on effectively integrating paid social into their overall social strategy, demonstrating knowledge and expertise in the functionality, strategies, and best practices for successful campaigns across all major social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Sharpen your creative skills: You will write compelling, engaging, and fresh social copy as well as work with creative teams, including designers and copywriters, to develop outstanding content for our clients, tailored to specific social platforms and ad formats and placements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Act as day-to-day social media lead across multiple healthcare accounts with integrated teams of account, paid social, earned, and digital media colleagues. Execute social media tactics including community management, content development and distribution, paid promotions, budget management, and results reporting.
  • Thrive in a face-paced, evolving environment: Success in this role hinges on strong organizational skills and diligent tracking of client communications to meet all deadlines. Serve as the go-to point person on timelines and processes with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines effectively.
  • Constantly learn, innovate and educate: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and trends to guide integrated teams and help Real Chemistry continue to be a leader in the space.

What you should have:
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media, ideally in a regulated industry (such as biotech or pharmaceutical or financial)
  • College degree (BA or equivalent)
  • Shown proficiency in social media, both personally and professionally
  • Understanding of how paid promotion works on the main social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Experience with social media ad technologies is required
  • Experience with Canva is a plus
  • Highly organized, mindful of deadlines with the ability to multitask and work under limited supervision
  • Experience collaborating effectively internally and externally as part of an integrated team
  • Outstanding written and oral communications and presentations skills
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
  • Agency experience in a client-facing role preferred
  • Understanding of the FDA regulations guiding social media efforts for biotech and pharma clients preferred


Pay Range: $67,000.00 - $85,000.00

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
