About the Role
This role is specifically focused on our podcast, First Principles, hosted by Christian Keil, VP of Astranis.
We are seeking a talented creative who will produce and edit all episodes that we create for First Principles, a video-first podcast that delves deep into deep-tech companies from a first principles perspective. This role is best fit for someone with end-end production experience who can also get their hands dirty on editing, animating, and distributing our videos. You'll be the go-to for
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with the host, guests, and internal teams to ensure smooth and engaging podcast episodes
Communication with all guests
Editing of the episodes
Create engaging show notes, transcripts, and promotional materials for each episode
Create trailers for each episode that are played for the first 30-60s of the video to get people excited for what's to come
Distribute podcast episodes across various platforms and manage the podcast's online presence
Analyze podcast performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve the show's reach and impact
Source and collaborate with freelancers for in-person shoots, thumbnails, and more
Plan and execute on initiatives to further enhance the quality of the show as well as explore opportunities for further growth and distribution
What You’ve Done Before:
5+ years of experience in podcast production or a related field
Proven track record of producing successful podcasts or audio content
Strong audio and video editing skills using professional software
Experience with animation
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with AI and technology trends
It’d Be Great If You’ve Done This:
Understanding of marketing and promotion strategies for podcasts
Network of potential guests and industry contacts
Compensation
This is a remote or in-person role (in San Francisco) with competitive compensation. The salary range is from $65,000-$105,000 per year + benefits.
