IT Technology Support Analyst - Radio & Communications Tech
Direct Hire: $79,300-119,000 + 7% AIP
Travel required: Candidates outside of Oregon should expect heavy travel to Oregon, approximately 2 weeks per month. Company vehicle provided.
Hybrid/remote locations: Springfield/Goshen Oregon location ideal
As the IT Technology Support Analyst for Radio & Communications, you will support a broad range of radio and communications services for our client's manufacturing/mills organization. This includes guiding the implementation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronic communications equipment and providing technical expertise for service evaluations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining two-way radio systems, wireless network equipment, and satellite technology. You will work in both repair and field settings, requiring knowledge in radio repair, mobile installations, and DC, AC, and RF theory.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Support the technical roadmap for radio and communications needs.
* Troubleshoot, service, and maintain two-way radio systems, wireless networks, and satellite devices.
* Build and maintain relationships with IT and business partners, ensuring efficient delivery of communication services.
* Provide analysis, recommendations, and implement effective communication solutions.
* Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences effectively.
* Coordinate with service providers and vendors to create quotes and bids based on customer needs.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years' experience with two-way radio and wireless communication systems.
* Experience with Motorola Land Mobile Radio equipment, including repeaters, mobiles, and portables.
* Current ETA technician certification, FCC-GROL, or equivalent.
* Experience in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of communication equipment.
* Valid driver's license and insurability in the state of residence.
* Tower certification or willingness to obtain it; includes managing 22+ antenna structures, some over 200 feet.
* Competency in computer-based troubleshooting and repair tools.
* Physical ability for lifting, carrying, and climbing tasks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
* Associate's degree or equivalent experience (2 additional years required).
