Job Overview:
As a Technical Director at LightSpeed Studios, your role will be to define and execute the technical strategy for an ambitious new IP. Your role involves working closely with the Creative Director and core leadership team in defining and maintaining the technical vision, ensuring it aligns with the game's overall creative direction and resonates with a global audience. This role requires spearheading a global tech team, particularly focusing on collaboration with development units in China, Singapore, and other countries.

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $141,480.0 to $295,920.0 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.

Job Overview:
As a Technical Director at LightSpeed Studios, your role will be to define and execute the technical strategy for an ambitious new IP. Your role involves working closely with the Creative Director and core leadership team in defining and maintaining the technical vision, ensuring it aligns with the game's overall creative direction and resonates with a global audience. This role requires spearheading a global tech team, particularly focusing on collaboration with development units in China, Singapore, and other countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the core team to build and manage project's technical vision and build an effective technical production strategy/roadmap to support the game's development.
- Partner with design, art and other departments to ensure efficient and effective game development.
- Set the studio's technical standards and practices, whilst ensuring stability, performance and quality in tech deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Directors to ensure the technical aspects of the game complement and enhance the narrative and gameplay.
- Build and lead a creative core tech team. Also, mentor and inspire the broader team, promoting an environment that values creativity, professional growth, and diversity.
- Supervise the implementation of technical features.
- Maintain clear communication with the development team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment of technical and project goals.
Who We Look For
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years' experience working in the game industry with at least 5 years' experience managing AAA engineering teams.
- Solid practical programming skills and experience building scalable core game systems, proficient in C++.
- Understanding of the game production pipeline.
- Understanding behind large-scale technical management.
- Experience in multi-platform AAA game development.
- Multiplayer experience
- Passionate about gaming and building the best player experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Open-minded and receptive to different cultures and ideas.
- Experience working with and leading teams from various countries around the world, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- A strong appreciation for diverse perspectives and the ability to integrate these into the creative process.
- Experience with Unreal Engine.
